Janice Belove is a Painter and Illustrator.  She earned her BFA from MICA (Maryland Institute, College of Art) and her MFA from Queens College, CUNY.

Janice was an Adjunct Professor of Fine Arts for 15 years, and in 2021 retired from a 12-year career as a Public School Art Teacher. She has taught Painting and Drawing at the Montclair Art Museum since 2006, and currently teaches adult classes in her studio in Montclair, New Jersey.

Prior to teaching, Janice earned her living as an editorial illustrator for magazines and newspapers, including the New York Times, Newsday, and the Daily News.

She has been awarded residencies at Virginia Center for Creative Arts (Geraldine R. Dodge foundation fellowship) and at the Millay Center Center for the Arts.

Janice’s work is held in numerous private collections nationally.

Janice lives in Montclair, New Jersey.
